- СтавкаA NEW GENUS AND A SPECIES OF TRECHINE GROUND BEETLES (COLEOPTERA: CARABIDAE: TRECHINAE) FROM THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA (BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA)(Institute for Biological Research, Serbia, 2012) ĆURČIĆ, S. B.; ĆURČIĆ, B. P. M.; PECELJ, M.; PECELJ, JELENA M.; ĆURČIĆ, NINA B.; PECELJ, MILICA M.; MILINČIĆ, M.; RAĐA, T.; MAKAROV, S. E.; MITIĆ, B. M.A new genus (Punctoduvalius gen. n.) and a species of trechine ground beetles (Punctoduvalius orlovacensis sp. n.) from Bosnia and Herzegovina have been described and diagnosed. Punctoduvalius gen. n. is clearly distinct from all other phenetically close genera in many important respects, such as: the presence of depigmented reduced eyes, the presence of a pigmented eye border, the presence of deep and complete frontal furrows, the presence of tiny setae on the genae, the presence of distinct longitudinal fissures on the protibias, the ratio of length/width of the first protarsal article in males, the presence of two elytral discal setae, the presence of numerous setiferous punctures in interstrial spaces, the specific position of the humeral setae, and the specific shape of the copulatory piece. This new genus comprises four species: Punctoduvalius pilifer (Ganglbauer, 1891) (endogean from Mts. Treskavica and Bjelašnica, and from a cave on Mt. Visočica, Bosnia and Herzegovina), P. protectus (Winkler, 1926) (from the Pećina kod Ostojića Cave, Mt. Treskavica, and endogean from Mt. Jahorina, Bosnia and Herzegovina), P. brevipilosus (Knirsch, 1927) (endogean from Lupoglav Peak, Mt. Prenj, Bosnia and Herzegovina), and P. orlovacensis sp. n. (from the Orlovača Cave, village of Donje Biševo, near Pale, Bosnia and Herzegovina). The four species clearly differ in many important respects.

- СтавкаThe Late Pleistocene Belotinac section (southern Serbia) at the southern limit of the European loess belt: Environmental and climate reconstruction using grain size and stable C and N isotopes(Elsevier, 2013) Obreht, Igor; Buggle, Björn; Catto, Norm; Marković, Slobodan B.; Bösel, Stefanie; Vandenberghe, Dimitri A.G.; Hambach, Ulrich; Svirčev, Zorica; Lehmkuhl, Frank; Basarin, Biljana; Gavrilov, Milivoj B.; Jović, GoranThe Belotinac loess section is one of the southernmost loess-paleosol environmental archives for the Late Quaternary in Serbia. The climate at this site is intermediate between the continental and the Mediterranean realms, which makes this loess archive potentially highly sensitive to past climatic changes. This paper presents new insights into the paleoenvironmental history during the last glacial period in southern Serbia using grain size and isotope proxy data. The grain size parameters from the Belotinac section reveal variations in the paleowind dynamics and weathering intensity, and suggest the nearby valley of the Južna Morava River as an important source of aeolian sediments in this area. Based on a multiproxy dataset, alternating phases of weak interstadials and phases of enhanced loess deposition at this site were identified. Nitrogen isotope data suggest that during Marine Isotope Stage 3, ecosystems of high biomass productivity and rather open N-cycles prevailed. During Marine Isotope Stage 2, productivity was reduced and the N cycle was more strongly closed, probably due to a shorter growing season and more pronounced temperature decline. Carbon isotope data indicate a possible contribution of C4 plants to the Holocene vegetation, but not to the glacial and interstadial ecosystems of the Late Pleistocene. Changes in atmospheric CO2 level are not reflected in the carbon isotope record. These findings are discussed in the light of paleoclimate proxy datasets from the Morava River valley and Carpathian Basin, as well as through comparison of carbon isotope records from loess sections in SE e Central Europe and in the Rhine Valley. Two different loess provinces exist in terms of glacial-interglacial humidity changes: a province of “glacial drying” and a province of “glacial humidification”. The first includes loess sites under more oceanic influence, where loess d13C records indicate humid interglacials and interstadials and relatively drier glacial periods. The second includes the loess sites of the Carpathian Basin and especially the southern Serbian loess area of Belotinac, where loess d13C records indicate more intensive aridity during interglacials, but a reduced soil moisture deficit and a more humid climate due to lower evapotranspiration in interstadials, and even more in glacial periods.

- СтавкаGIS Analysis of Land Cover Changes on the Territory of the Prokuplje Municipality(Hindawi, 2014) Valjarević, Aleksandar; Živković, Dragica; Valjarević, Dragana; Stevanović, Vladica; Golijanin, JelenaThe monitoring of the territory of Prokuplje Municipality was done based on 1 : 25,000 topographic maps in three different time periods (1969, 1974, and 1984) and land cover map in 2012. Analogous topographic maps done in 1969, 1974, and 1984 were used, while in 2012 the land cover map obtained by using CORINE-like approach was used. Topographic maps are developed by aerial campaign, and today they are replaced by satellite images. Topographic maps were scanned, and raster form was transformed to vector data with Geo Media Professional 6.1 and Global Mapper software. The monitoring in the period of 1969-2012, on the area of 758300000 m(2), was performed, where some parameters were analyzed. In particular, the changes of natural resources, primarily forest lands, were observed as well as the type of land susceptible to primary erosion, including the level of urbanization and level of agricultural land. The obtained results clearly showed changes in forestation within the 43-year-long period, as well as changes in primary erosion and urbanization, while at the level of agricultural land, slight changes were found. The paper also involved transition of social factors from 1969 to 2012, expressed as a change between the earth and forest layer.
- СтавкаThe impact of relief on the distribution of the population in the area of East Sarajevo(MCSER-Mediterranean Center of Social and Educational research, Italy, 2014) Lukić Tanović, Marijana; Grmusa, Milka; Golijanin, JelenaBosnia and Herzegovina, and therefore the City of East Sarajevo have in recent decades been affected by large demographic changes, primarily caused by the war that caused the population emigration population and, together with the process of demographic transition, characterized by a negative natural growth, have led to the depopulation, an aging of population, reduced life quality and low standard of living. The City of East Sarajevo is located in the eastern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina and it consists of six municipalities: East New Sarajevo, Pale, East Ilidža, East Old Town, Sokolac and Trnovo, with about 216 settlements. It covers an area of approximately 1, 425 km ² and in hypsometric sense, these settlements are located between 500 and 1916 m of altitude. The morphometric features of the terrain, the horizontal and vertical articulation of relief, slope and elevation of the terrain, exposure, etc. have a major impact on the distribution of the settlement. The subject of this paper will be geographical and habitation specifics of East Sarajevo, vertical zones and distribution of the population. The aim of this paper is to determine whether and how the relief affects the distribution of the population in the researched area and how population depends on the morphometric parameters. Also, we want to determine how the population of mountainous landscapes of the explored territory has changed and what is its trend of the last few decades, since the process of migration from rural to urban areas and the process of land reclamation is expressed throughout the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina. As a hypothesis, there is the depopulation that is more prominent in areas with higher altitude, and, through the paper we will examine and try to relate the movement of the population and hypsometric distribution of the population. The higher mountainous areas are more affected by intensive aging population, demographic fragmentation and the creation of rural built.
- СтавкаFirst Regularized Trace of the Limit Assignment of Sturm-Liouville Type with Two Constant Delays(University of Niš, Serbia, 2015) Pavlović, Nataša; Pikula, Milenko; Vojvodić, BiljanaWe observe spectral assignment D2y = y defined by y00(x) + q1(x)y(x 1) + q2(x)y(x 2) = y(x); = z2 (1) q1(x); q2(x) 2 L1[0; ]; 1; 2 2 (0; ) y(x 1) 0; x 2 (0; 1]; 1 = k0 2 (2) y( ) = 0 (3) In this paper, we construct a solution y(x; z) which satisfies (1) and (2), and then (3) is used to construct the characteristic function F(z); z 2 C. Then the asymptotics of eigenvalues of the operator D2 is constructed. Finally, the first regularized trace is calculated.

- СтавкаNEW MODEL OF MAXIMAL COVERING LOCATION PROBLEM WITH FUZZY CONDITIONS(Slovak Academy of Sciences, 2016) Drakulić, Darko; Takači, Aleksandar; Marić, MiroslavThe objective of Maximal Covering Location Problem is locating facilities such that they cover the maximal number of locations in a given radius or travel time. MCLP is applied in many different real-world problems with several modi cations. In this paper a new model of MCLP with fuzzy conditions is presented. It uses two types of fuzzy numbers for describing two main parameters of MCLP { coverage radius and distances between locations. First, the model is de ned, then Particle Swarm Optimization method for solving the problem is described and tested.
- СтавкаAn Extension of Maximal Covering Location Problem based on the Choquet Integral(Obuda University, Hungary, 2016) Takači, Aleksandar; Štajner-Papuga, Ivana; Drakulić, Darko; Marić, MiroslavThe aim of this paper is to demonstrate the applicability of the Choquet integral, a well-known fuzzy integral, in the Maximal Covering Location Problem (MCLP). Possible benefits of the used integral, which is based on monotone set functions, include the flexibility of а monotone set function, which is in the core of the Choquet integral, for modeling the Decision Maker's behavior. Various mathematical models of the Maximal Covering Location Problem are given. The approach, based on the Choquet integral versus the standard approach, is thoroughly discussed and illustrated by several examples.
- СтавкаEast Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) twenty years later –changes in land use(University of Novi Sad, 2016) Drašković, Branislav; Drešković, Nusret; Mirić, RankoThe city of East Sarajevo is a newborn city, formed twenty years ago, after the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the area of the former southern and eastern Sarajevo municipalities. Changes that occurred in this area were not only administrative-political.Thepopulation moved from one area to another place, and changed in number and structure, which has resulted in significant changes in land use and land cover types. The aim of the paper is to analyze the types of land cover in the area of East Sarajevo using methods based on remote sensing, in order to find out the degree of these spatial changes in the period from 2000-2012, and also to define spatial development trends. Within the European project of remote research of land cover types and forms of land use, namedCORINE Land Cover (CLC),spacious facilities were identified from middle and large scale spatial resolution, with 5 first-level classes, 15 subclasses, and 44 subclasses of the third level of cover. Analyzing the area of East Sarajevo there are identified 3 of the first-class level, 10 second-class, and 16 third-class level types. Geodataare related to three observation periods: 2000, 2006, and 2012, comparing the situation at the beginning of the period with the situation after 12 years.
- СтавкаThe effects of differentiation of content in problem-solving in learning geometry in secondary school(Modestum Ltd., 2016) Bikić, Naida; Maričić, Sanja M.; Pikula, MilenkoThe aim of the study was to examine the effects of problem-based learning which was established on differentiation of content at three levels of complexity in the processing of the content of Analytical geometry in the plane. In this context, an experimental research was conducted, on a sample of secondary school students (N = 165) in order to examine whether methodical approach designed on the principles of problem-based learning based on differentiation of content gives better effects in learning compared to the traditional mode. The results of the final measurement shown that the experimental group achieved better overall success than control group. The results suggest that the proposed methodical approach contributes to better student performance in teaching geometry and that the most significant progress is achieved in the group of students who are average in terms of success and with ones below the average.
