- СтавкаACTIVE AND PASSIVE RADON CONCENTRATION MEASUREMENTS AND FIRST-STEP MAPPING IN SCHOOLS OF BANJA LUKA, REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA*(EDITURA ACAD ROMANE, 2012) ĆURGUZ, Z.; ŽUNIĆ, Z. S.; TOLLEFSEN, T.; JOVANOVIČ, P.; NIKEZIĆ, D.; KOLARŽ, P.Radon concentration measurements were performed in all 25 primary schools in Banja Luka city, the capital of Republic of Srpska, during 2011 and 2012, using both active RAD7 continual radon measuring instruments and CR-39 passive (commercially known as Gamma) detectors. The two complimentary methods were employed not only to obtain annual averages, but also to study the dynamics of radon concentration changes during the week. For each school, average and temporal variations of radon concentrations were analysed, taking into consideration local geology, building materials and meteorological conditions. The influence of forced ventilation, caused by frequent opening of doors and windows during working hours, with typical dawn and weekend peaks is evident in most but not all schools. Elevated levels of radon concentration (>400 Bq m-3) were found in a few schools using both methods. Although high correlation factor of 0.8 between passive and active methods was found, still shorttime (one-week) measurements cannot be used for annual estimation of radon activity but only as a screening one. Thus, the conclusion concerns only long time measurements as valid indicator of annual radon activity.

- СтавкаSelection of Delivery Vehicle Using Integrated Objective-subjective MCDM Model(KAUNAS UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, 2021) Stević, Ž.; Kotorić, M.; Stojić, G.; Sremac, S.The transport system as part of the logistics system has a huge impact on the development of the entire economic system. Thanks to the daily movements of goods flows, which are becoming more and more extensive from year to year, transport has become one of the key links of the economy. Therefore, it is very important to pay adequate attention to transport and delivery vehicles. The aim of this paper is the selection of adequate delivery vehicle for the needs of a newly established company by applying a subjective-objective MCDM model. Five potential solutions (delivery vehicles) were considered based on seven selected criteria. First, the objective CRITIC (CRiteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation) method was applied, and then the subjective FUCOM (FUll COnsistency Method), on the basis of which the importance of the criteria for the selection of a delivery vehicle was determined. The MARCOS (Measurement of Alternatives and Ranking according to COmpromise Solution) method was applied to rank delivery vehicles and select the most acceptable solution from the set of considered alternatives. The results showed that the purchase price plays the most important role in choosing a delivery vehicle, while the Peugeot Boxer was chosen as the best solution for a given transport company
- СтавкаRNA-Seq of potato plants reveals a complex of new latent bacterial plant pathogens(2021) Ignatov, A. N.; Semenov, A.; Tešić, S.; Kyrova, E.; Goryunova, S.The throughput and single-base resolution of RNA-Sequencing (RNA-Seq) have contributed to a dramatic change in diagnostics of viruses and other plant pathogens. A transcriptome represents all RNA molecules, including the coding mRNAs as well as the noncoding rRNA, tRNA, etc. A distinct advantage of RNA-Seq is that cDNA fragments are directly sequenced and the reads can be compared to available reference genome sequences. This approach allows the simultaneous and hypothesis-free identification of all pathogens in the plant. We conducted surveys for potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) -associated phytopathogenic bacteria in 56 original and GenBank RNA-seq data sets for potato breeding material. Bacteria of genera Pseudomonas, Burkholderia, Ralstonia, Xanthomonas, Agrobacterium, and species of family Enterobacteriaceae were most frequently detected in RNA sets from the studied plants. RNA-seq reads identified as Xanthomonas spp. were within X. vesicatoria, and some other species. Xanthomonas spp. covered up to 9,1% of all reads and included the major clades of these bacteria known as pathogens of solanaceous crops, but potato. Bacteria of genus Xanthomonas infect different plant species under artificial inoculation, suggesting that they are shared among wild plants and crops. Our studies indicated that a larger number of solanaceous plants can be occupied by specific Xanthomonas pathovars as endophytes or latent pathogens. Revealing bacteria distribution in the plant breeding material using RNA-seq data improves our knowledge on the ecology of plant pathogens
- СтавкаA Model of UAV-BasedWaste Monitoring System for Urban Areas(Springer, 2022) Dobrilovic, Dalibor; Jotanovic, Gordana; Stjepanovic, Aleksandar; Jausevac, Goran; Perakovic, DraganThis paper presents an approach in using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with remote imaging for urban waste monitoring. The system is designed to monitor green areas, public trash cans, and unregulated landfills and to detect possible violations of garbage disposal rules. Public green urban areas, such as parks, green surfaces, sport terrains, and bathing areas, are gathering places for people and therefore prone to unregulated waste disposal. The proposed solution describes the real-time monitoring of the area using drones and the detection of irregularities in a garbage disposal. The cameras mounted on drones are used to take images of public targeted areas at pre-mapped points. Visual data collected by supervisor drones are used for further processing and notification of authorized personnel and institutions.
