    Procjena bilansa emisije CO2 iz termoelektrana sa količinom apsorbovanog CO2 šumama u Republici Srpskoj

    This paper deals with the comparison of the amount of carbon dioxide emitted from thermal power plants in the Republic of Srpska with the amount of CO2 absorbed in the process of photosynthesis through existing wood stocks in forests and the achieved wood growth of forests in the territory of the Republic of Srpska. Since CO2 by definition has a negative impact on the climate on planet Earth and due to the fact that it causes the greenhouse effect, additional warming of our planet occurs. There are generally two procedures for estimating and determining CO2 emissions from thermal power plants: based on previously defined mathematical models and measured coal consumption. The measurement methods used for taking samples are: nonextractive (measuring probes and devices are located inside or in the smoke duct) and extractive (the sample is taken from the smoke duct and taken to the device where it is analyzed). Sensors based on which the composition is determined are divided into: electrolytic, optical, calorimetric and photometric. The calculated and predicted emissions from the existing thermal power plants in the Republic of Srpska were compared with the equivalent of CO2 storage in the forest biomass that the Republic of Srpska has at its disposal, from which were derived very interesting parts of the conclusions regarding the CO2 neutrality of the energy sector related to the thermal power plants of the Republic of Srpska.

    STATIC ANALYSIS OF GEARBOX DRIVE SHAFT

    In this paper, the structural analysis of the drive shaft of manual six-speed gearbox DMB 6.80.235 manufacturers Famos was performed. Static analysis was done in Ansys Workbench software, with the previously modeling of the mentioned shaft and the definition of boundary conditions and generating a finite element mesh. At the supports site, or bearings, springs are set and are presented by the final element COMBIN 14 whose stiffness is equivalent to stiffness of the supports.

    QUANTITATIVE METHODS FOR MATERIAL SELECTION – MATERIAL PROPERTIES CHART

    This paper presents the selection of optimal materials for the production of basic constituent elements of electric iron: housing, heater and warming plate using material properties chart (map) quantitative method and Cambridge Engineering Selection software (CES). This work is a continuation and expansion of research. The results were compared with results from the paper [1] in which selection of mentioned constituent elements of electric iron materials was done using two quantitative methods: the method of properties influence (digital-logic method) and the method of minimum deviation of actual properties compared to required (algebraic approach).

    MEASUREMENT OF TORQUE ON THE CARDAN SHAFT EMBEDDED IN THE FREIGHT VEHICLE

    Before analysis, development or improvement of existing structure of drive unit or gearboxes, the load that appearing in exploitation must be known. This paper presents a method of load (torque) measurement, on the cardan shaft embedded in the freight vehicle, using strain gages. The aim of the study is to determine torque variation depending on the exploitation conditions (road surface, speed transmission, vehicle load, etc). The measurement was performed for different road characteristics (vehicle movement on flat terrain, up and down the slope). Results are presented using tables and diagrams, and percentage utilization of the power drive unit, embedded into freight vehicle, was calculated based on obtained values of torque. Obtained results have an important role for designers because they give a general insight in the load on the cardan shaft , which represent the basis for future development or redesign of power unit or gearboxes and basis for forming of specter of gear load and bearing embedded into gearbox.

    Analysis of the Influence Parameters on the Support Structure Stiffness of Large Radial-Axial Bearings

    In certain types of crane and earth-moving machinery, such as portal cranes, loaders and excavators, the transfer of loads to crane tracks or the terrain is accomplished by means of undercarriage frames composed of box-like girders. The hypothesis that all four supports of the undercarriage frame do not lie in the horizontal plane is the basis for the formation of a calculation model. This paper analyses the influence of geometric parameters of box-like girders on the magnitude of additional forces at the supports of those frames when one of the supports is raised or lowered relative to the horizontal plane for the size Δ. Theoretical dependences between moments of inertia and stiffness under bending and torsion of those girders were thus established. Obtained relations leads to more concise forms of expressions for influential coefficients in Maxwell-Mohr integrals and simplifies optimization methods in the design of support structures. With experimental verification of the results, the influences of geometric parameters on the stiffness of the support structure are confirmed, and preconditions are created for further analysis of the connection made by large diameter bearings.
