- СтавкаTHE DETERMINATION OF THE CONCENTRATIONS OF METAMIZOL SODIUM IN INFLAMED JOINTS OF PIGS AFTER INTRAVENOUS AND IONTOPHORETIC APPLICATION(VETERINARY FACULTY, UNIVERSITY IN BELGRADE, 2010) ĐURĐEVIĆ, S.; JEZDIMIROVIĆ, MILANKA; ALEKSIĆ, NEVENKA; BRANKOVIĆ, NATAŠA; PRŽULJ, D.; CICOVIĆ. B.Concentrations of the NSAID metamizol sodium (MmNa) in the synovial fluid and hyaline cartilage of inflamed knee and elbow joints of pigs after i.v. application and iontophoresis (IPh) were investigated. The research was conducted on 14 male pigs divided equally into two experimental groups and exposed to artificial inflammation of knees and elbows prior to the application of MmNa. The first group (A) was administered 2.5 g (twice the maximum therapeutic dose) MmNa intravenously, whilst the second group (B) was exposed to the same dose, but applied by IPh into contralateral knee and elbow joints. Four hours after the application of MmNa biopsies of the affected knee and elbow joints were performed. The average concentration of MmNa in the synovial fluid of inflamed joints in group A was 9.81±1.96 g/g, while in group B was 170.66±2.07 g/g, being 17 times higher. The average concentration of MmNa in the hyaline cartilage was 2.29±1.16 g/g following i.v. administration and 98.36±21.58 g/g after IPh, i.e. approximatelly 43 times higher. This led to the conclusion that IPh of MmNa, resulting in incomparably higher concentrations in inflamed joints without any adverse systemic effects, has an advantage over i.v. application.
- СтавкаTHE MORPHOLOGICAL STATUS OF THE FINALIST IN JUMPING DISCIPLINES AT THE BEIJING OLYMPICS(University of Travnik, 2012) Pavlović, RatkoMorphological characteristics of the athlete represents his identification card on the base that can be classified as a constitutional type, and also to get information about his body height, body weight, BMI, and even analyze and age. Different constitutional types present in the sport and are important in terms of routing, selection and pursuit of a particular sport. This is expressed especially in athletic sports in the athletics where we have a number of different constitutional types of athletes that requires Discipline. This paper analyzes the morphological status of the finalists in the jumping events at the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008. The survey includes 32 athletes who competed in the finals and the measured variables to assess the morphological status: body height (AVIS), body mass (AMAS), body mass index (BMI), age of the competitor (GOD). Applying basic statistical parameters was performed descriptive analysis of variables applied to the athletes that were made based on the conclusions.
- СтавкаPHYSIOLOGICAL DIFERENCESS BETWEEN TOP ELITE AND ELITE WATERPOLO PLAYERS(University of Travnik, 2013) Idrizović, Kemal; Milošević, Drago; Pavlović, RatkoThe aims of this study were to establish the physiological attributes of top elite (the second position on the World Championship in Barcelona 2013) and elite (the fourth position in The Adriatic league in season 2012/13) male water polo players, and to determine whether these attributes discriminate top elite players from elite players. Measurements and tests of basic anthropometry (body hieght, body mass, BMI, arm span, leg length), and specific motor abilities, swimming speed, throwing velocity and maximal force capacity were conducted on two occasions, separated by one day. A total of 22 water polo players, 11 top elite and 11 elite (24.26±2.78 vs. 21.83±2.67 years of age) participated in this study. Of all applied tests and measures, they statistically significantly differed only in the results of two specific motoric tests: throwing velocity (78.81±3.84 vs. 71.27±4.29 km/h, p˂0.01) and test of maximal force capacity (46.72±6.13 vs. 40.38±3.79 kg, p˂0.01). This study revealed that the main differences between top elite and elite water polo players are in abilities of maximum shot velocity and the production of a maximum force. The results therefore identify important factors for elite players to improve in the transition phase from elite to top elite level.
- СтавкаSTUDENT ATTITUDES AND KNOWLEDGE OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS ON USE OF DOPING IN SPORT(University of Travnik, 2013) Pavlović, Ratko; Pupiš, MartinThe study included 50 students from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports in East Sarajevo, students of the third and fourth year of studying. The main objective of the research is to test the level of knowledge and identify students' attitudes about the use of illicit substances (drugs) in sports. As a way of gathering the necessary information has been used an anonymous questionnaire with 13 clearly defined questions (11 closed type questions and 2 open-ended type questions) which were related to the specific knowledge and attitudes about the use of doping substances in sports. The obtained results are relevant to the global indicator of awareness, knowledge and attitudes of students about the increasing problem of today's modern sport that is called doping.
- СтавкаSPEED AND SPEED-STRENGTH ABILITIES OF THE REPRESENTATIVES FOR SLOVAKIA IN SHORT-DISTANCE RUNS IN THE PUPILS CATEGORY IN ATHLETICS(University of Travnik, 2013) Čillík, Ivan; Pupiš, Martin; Ďurják, Ondrej; Pavlović, Ratko; Bonacin, DobromirThis contribution deals with speed and speed-strength abilities of the pupils in short-distance runs in athletics. The main purpose of our contribution was to determine the performance and the correlations between the indicators of speed: accelerating speed, maximum running speed and the indicators of speedstrength: explosive power of lower limbs. We investigated speed abilities using the 50 m sprint with a standing start and speed-strength abilities by performing 10 repetitive squat jumps without the help of the upper limbs. The sample of subjects consisted of the pupils – competitors for Slovakia in the Youth category in athletics. Overall, physical demands of tested athletes were found to be average. Short-distance runners have better speed indicators than hurdle runners and long-distance runners; however, they achieve worse performance in speed-strength abilities. Contact time during the repetitive squat jumps is one of the decisive factors that significantly affect the level of speed and speed-strength abilities.
- СтавкаDIFFERENCES BETWEEN QUALIFICATION AND FINAL RESULTS OF JAVELIN THROW FINALISTS OLYMPIC GAMES IN LONDON 2012(University of Travnik, Bosnia & Herzegovina, 2014) Pavlović, Ratko; Idrizović, KemalOlympics as the most important sports event bring forth new results that often represent new Olympic, World or national records. Olympics in London are exactly an indication of such results. There has been recorded a shot of national record (NR=84,58m) of a javelin thrower, of the athlete of Trinidad and Tobago (K. Walcott), which his result from qualifications in the final performance increased by almost 3m. It is the result of Walcott, that was the reason for this study that treats differences in result success of male and female athletes of javelin throwers in the qualifying and final appearance. The main objective of this study was to determine the differences between individual results male and between individual results of female athletes participants of the Olympic Games in London in 2012. The sample included the top 24 elite athletes (12 female and 12 male), who participated in the qualifications and finals of the Olympic Games. The collected data were analyzed by the program package Statistica 7.0. by applying module's t-test for small dependent samples. The results did not confirm the existence of a statistically significant differences between the qualifying and final performance of competitors. Also, the results showed that only 33% of competitors in both sub causes obtained better shot in the final than in the qualification.
- СтавкаEVALUATION OF ANAEROBIC ABILITIES OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS STUDENTS APPLYING THE RUNNING ANAEROBIC SPRINT TEST(University of Travnik, 2015) Pavlović, Ratko; Mihajlović, Ilona; Radulović, NikolaAnaerobic abilities participate in most activities that are characterized by high intensity and short duration of activity. This type of endurance is the dominant activity in submaximal and maximal intensity. Conditioned by the good functioning of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, morphological status, metabolism, muscle structure, etc. The research has conducted with the aim of evaluating anaerobic abilities of students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of East Sarajevo and Novi Sad applying Running Anaerobic Sprint Test (RAST). The sample included a total of 40 male students, including 20 students from Eastern Sarajevo (age 21±0,5 years, average weight 76,69 ± 6,61kg) and (20 students from Novi Sad (age 20±0,5 years, the average weight 76,75±9,49kg). The results showed almost identical values of anaerobic capacity of students who are expected for this population with little benefits students of East Sarajevo. The average strength of the lower extremities student East Sarajevo amounted to 594,79 W, compared to the students of the Novi Sad 574,12 W, which is a slight difference that is not statistically significant. A slightly higher average index of fatigue was recorded with students of Novi Sad from 8,45 suggesting a weaker state of anaerobic capacity in relation to the pattern of East Sarajevo, or lower tolerance to lactate.
- СтавкаPERIODIZATION OF TRAINING LOAD DURING PREPARATORY AND PERFORMANCE SHAPING PHASES OF A 50 AND 20 KM RACE WALKER(University of Travnik, 2015) Brodáni, Jaroslav; Czakova, Mária; Tóth, Matej; Pavlović, RatkoArticle points out special training periodization indicators during sports training and peaking performance of racewalker to 50 km and 20 km. We special focus on the period of the first peak of the season in the annual training cycle, which reached their personal best performances in a combination of both racewalker disciplines. Based on the results of the model has been created for special training indicators for racewalkers with performance to 20 km 1:21:00 hours and 50 km 3:40:0 hours.
- СтавкаDEPENDENCE OF THE OVERALL RESULT IN THE OLYMPIC TRIATHLON ON THE PERFORMANCE OF INDIVIDUAL EVENTS(University of Travnik, 2015) Pupiš, Martin; Pavlík, Ján; Pivovarniček, Pavol; Pavlović, RatkoThe aim of the study was to determine the dependence of the overall result on the performance of individual events. In other words, which stage (event) of the triathlon is the most important in order to achieve the best performance and thus the best ranking. In this paper, we considered all the Olympic triathlons organised by the ITU (World Cup) from 2009 to 2014. From each competition, the 30 fastest competitors according to the valid results were chosen. That included 36 competitions that we could use for our research. Two competitions could not be used due to insufficient number of competitors. The results of our research show that the running event had the highest influence on the competition ranking. An average correlation in the running event was r = 0.87 (p < 0.01). According to Cohen’s scale that means a high dependence of results. An average correlation of the individual triathlon events with the overall results shows that neither swimming (correlation coefficient r = 0.31 (p < 0.01)), nor cycling (correlation coefficient r = 0.13 (p < 0.01)) have a deciding influence on the final result.
- СтавкаANALYSIS OF THE MORPHOLOGICAL STATUS STUDENTS BY APPLYING OF DIFFERENT METHODS OF THE INDEX(Faculty of Education – University of Travnik, Bosnia & Herzegovina, 2015) Pavlović, Ratko; Raković, Aleksandar; Mihajlović, Ilona; Petrović, Borko; Stanković, DanielNowadays it is generally lived in conditions of rapid pace, poor quality and unhealthy nutrition, reduced or insufficient movement, in a word hypokinetic lifestyle. Consequences of hypokinesia are many, and refer mainly to diseases of the cardiovascular system, the respiratory system, and the occurrence of diabetes. In addition, it can also be stated and the uneven growth and development of the individual leading to the negative trend of the development of some anthropometric characteristics and also to the morphological status of the individual. This research is dealing with the analysis of students of Physical Education and Sports. For the estimation of the morphological space was applied: Lorentz constitutional index (LKI), Muscle index (MI%), Body Mass Index (BMI kg/m²). The results showed that it is to low but positive a tendency of the stronger development of bone and muscle tissues of students, where the mean value of LKI is (Mean=1,50), muscle index MI (Mean=10,64%), that is they are in the upper limit of the middle development musculature. The average BMI values of students (Mean=23,60kg/m²) is also an indicator that this population increases the value defined by BMI, whose value is in the upper limit of normal body weight. These values BMI fully correspond to the values that were realized in the LKI and MI.
- СтавкаEVALUATION OF ANAEROBIC ABILITIES OF STUDENTS APPLYING THE RUNNING ANAEROBIC SPRINT TEST(University of Tuzla, 2016) Pavlović, Ratko; Idrizović, Kemal; Pupiš, MartinAnaerobic abilities participate in most activities that are characterized by high intensity and short duration of activity. This type of endurance is the dominant activity in submaximal and maximal intensity. Conditioned by the good functioning of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, morphological status, metabolism, muscle structure, etc. The research has conducted with the aim of evaluating anaerobic abilities of students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of East Sarajevo and Nikšić applying Running Anaerobic Sprint Test (RAST). The sample included a total of 40 male students, including 20 students from Eastern Sarajevo (age 21±0,5 years, average weight 76,69 ± 6,61kg) and (20 students from Nikšić (age 21±0,5 years, the average weight 79,40±9,66kg). The results showed almost identical values of anaerobic capacity of students who are expected for this population with little benefits students of East Sarajevo. The average strength of the lower extremities student East Sarajevo amounted to 594,79 W, compared to the students of the Nikšić 579,15 W, which is a slight difference that is not statistically significant. A slightly higher average index of fatigue was recorded with students of Nikšić from (FI=8,20) suggesting a weaker state of anaerobic capacity in relation to the pattern of East Sarajevo, or lower tolerance to lactate.
- СтавкаINFLUENCE OF OXYGEN CONCENTRATE INHALATION ON PERFORMANCE IN SWIMMING UNDERWATER(Faculty of Education – University of Travnik, Bosnia & Herzegovina, 2016) Pupiš, Martin; Pupišová, Zuzana; Pavlović, RatkoThe aim of the present study was to analyze the influence of oxygen concentrate inhalation on underwater swimming performance in students from the Department of Physical Education and Sports in BanskáBystrica. The test group consisted of 17 students (9 males: age = 21.14± 1.78 years, height= 176.4± 6.3 cm, weight= 66.2 ± 8.7 kg, and 8 women: age = 20.98± 1.54 years, height= 169.2± 4.2 cm, weight= 60.6± 4.5 kg). The test group carried out the testing over two consecutive days, where their task was to inhale oxygen concentrate/placebo for 2 minutes after a 5-minute collective warm-up and 500 meters of swimming. Subsequently, the role of the test group was to swim the maximum distance underwater with one inspiration and simultaneously push off the edge of the pool. Paired-Samples T-test (t, α = 0.05) was used to establish the significance of differences between the distance of underwater swimming after oxygen concentrate inhalation and distance after the application of the placebo. Cohen’s coefficient “d” was used for the calculation of effect size. Statistical analysis was realized with software IBM® SPSS® Statistics V19. The test results showed the average individual differences between oxygen and placebo of 6.89% (2.3 meters). Statistical analysis proved that the difference between the distance after oxygen concentrate inhalation and after the application of the placebo was significant (t(16) = -10.101, p < 0.05, d = 2.45 – large effect).
- СтавкаEvaluation of fitness index and maximal oxygen consumption of students using the UKK 2 km walk test(University of Pitesti Publishing House, Romania, 2016) Pavlović, RatkoOne of the factors that, in the modern way of life and work, has an important role in preserving the abilities and health of the human body is certainly a physical activity. A very common way of assessing the state of aerobic fitness of a particular population are diagnostic tests on the basis of which we receive the necessary information when it comes to general physical condition of a defined population. This diagnostic evaluation is usually performed in the laboratory (direct methods), however, available and reliable data are about high reliability in the performance of some field tests (indirect methods). Depending on the field conditions, very often these measurements are performed using estimates of general ability (test UKK 2km). To perform this test data about body height, body weight, BMI, the values of the pulse rate and walking time during the test must be contained in it. Based on testing using the UKK 2km are obtained Fitness Index values (FINDEX) and maximal oxygen consumption (VO²max) of students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, in order to determine and define the physical condition of respondents. The results showed that the fitness index (101.89) in the upper zone average (101.89) and VO²max = 47.26 reflects good shape
- СтавкаFACTOR ANALYSIS OF WORLD RECORD HOLDERS IN ATHLETIC DECATHLON(Faculty of Education – University of Travnik, Bosnia & Herzegovina, 2017) Pavlović, Ratko; Idrizović, KemalAll-around competition is the only competition in which it does not matter whether the athlete is the first, the second or the last in a discipline. What matters is the total number of points, and a rounder competes against his/her personal capabilities and standards. Athletic all-around competitions are a series of consecutive athletic competitions divided in two days. Success is calculated by the sum score of all disciplines that are pointed due to the international athletic tables. The research included ten (10) is currently the world's best decathlete of all time until 2016. Aim of research was to carry out a factor analysis of the athletic decathlon world record holder in order to define factors (latent dimensions) that would determine the type of decathlon, or the so participation technical or motor discipline overall. Applying factor analysis in a defined area is extracted with a total of three factors explained about 75% of the common variance of. The first factor has exhausted 35.24% (pole vault, high jump, discus throw, 400m) and a set of common variance is defined as a type of jumper-thrower-runner. The second factor has exhausted 22.21% (100m; 110m hurdle) analyzed set and is defined as runners (sprinters) type athletes. The third factor has exhausted about 17% (long jump, 1500m) and is defined by a type of jumper-runner.
- СтавкаMOTOR ABILITIES OF STUDENTS AS PREDICTORS OF RESULT PERFORMANCE IN ATHLETIC DISCIPLINES(Faculty of Education – University of Travnik, Bosnia & Herzegovina, 2017) Pavlović, RatkoMotor abilities are undoubtedly very complex area and they participate in the organization of all types of movements, and in their base lies efficiency of organ systems, particularly neuromuscular, which is responsible for the intensity, the duration and the regulation of movement. It is often associated as a major factor of influence in the implementation of the results of athletic disciplines at the highest level. However, their impact on the realization of athletic disciplines is not negligible at school age. Exactly, being led by the assumption of the impact of motor abilities on the results for athletic disciplines of students was conducted this research. The study included the population of 65 male students, aged 14-15 years old from Mali Zvornik. The main objective was, by the application of regression analysis, to determine the size of the impact of the defined motor abilities (explosive strength, repetitive strength, speed, and flexibility) to success in athletic disciplines of three-team competition (60m running, long jump with a running start, shot put). The obtained results showed that the motor abilities generated a statistically significant effect in the result performance of all three athletic disciplines at the high significance level (p<0.001; p<0.005), which justified the statements and results of previous studies which analyzed the similar issues. The greatest impact of motor abilities is exerted on the results of running (Ro=0.93), followed by shot put (Ro=0.89), and the weakest in the long jump from the run-up (Ro=0.82).
- СтавкаDETERMINATION OF INFLUENCE AND DIFFERENCES IN SPECIFIC PROFESSIONAL SAMPLE OF EXAMINEES(Faculty of Education – University of Travnik, Bosnia & Herzegovina, 2017) Simeonov, Aleksandar; Radić, Zoran; Pavlović, RatkoIn a sample of 80 respondents, population special forces, divided into three subsample age: the first group of 27 to the age of 25 years, the second group of 28 aged between 26-30 years and the third group of 25 aged 31 - 36, made a study of motor abilities as part of the program structure to carry out the unit. In this research procedure isolated four motor variables: push-ups, abdominal muscles, pull-ups and running the 3000m. For each of the variables according to the number of the engine under test and the time for running the 3000 meters obtain credits. In the research procedure was used descriptive method, classification of frequencies of the motor performance and determining, the impact of the criterion on prognostic variables and determining the differences between respondents. The results of descriptive statistics, we can conclude that the variables push-ups, sit-ups and points, there are major differences in the tests, which bear witness high rates of standard deviation, showing a greater deviation from the average value, and coefficients of variability that tell us higher percentage of variation of the standard deviation from the mean. The results of the regressive analysis show statistical significance, that motor variables as significant prognostic influence criteria variable, which tells us that the points scale better evaluates the results and is a good representative as a criteria for achieved results. As a general conclusion of the research in three subsample respondents according to age, we can conclude that there are no statistically significant differences between them, and the majority of respondents are in good physical preparation.
- СтавкаIs there any connection between endurance, explosive strength and speed performance?(University of Pitesti Publishing House, 2018) SÝKORA, JOZEF; DAVID, BRŐNN; PUPIŠ, MARTIN; PAVLOVIĆ, RATKOMetabolism of blood lactate and muscle fiber composition are creating for decades basement for determining muscle work and how it can affect sport performance. The main purpose of this research was to verify, whether there exists any correlation between specific intermittent shuttle run test (endurance) with explosive strength and acceleration tests. 19 professional soccer players of Slovak Fortuna league (Age 24.4 ± 4.84, Height 181.75 ± 3.87, Weight 77.50 ± 6.16) participated during pre-season testing of fitness abilities. Intermittent yo-yo test, Squat jump test, Counter-movement jump test and sprints on 5 & 10 meters were used. Pearson correlation revealed, that higher score at intermittent yo-yo test is significantly and objectively linked with higher score at SJ and CMJ test (p < 0.05, r = 0.48 (SJ), 0.49 (CMJ)). Additionally, intermittent yo-yo test score seems to be linked with lower time at 5 m test, but not at 10 m sprint test (p < 0.01, r = 0.54). It is questionable, whether these finding were caused by stretch-shortening cycle mechanism or blood-lactate metabolism ability of organism. Partial role might be taken by muscle fiber composition in players and ability of these fibers to accumulate and depriving blood-lactate during activity.
- СтавкаThe Effect of Recreational Swimming on the Health of Students with Poor Somatic Health in Physical Education Classes at University(MDPI, 2019) Dorofieieva, Olena; Yarymbash, Kseniya; Skrypchenko, Iryna; Pavlović, Ratko; Badicu, GeorgianBackground: The physical education of students who have a deviation in their state of health requires a joint effort from teachers and doctors. Aim: The aim of the study was to substantiate the necessity of swimming classes as an effective means of physical rehabilitation in students with health disorders within the physical education curriculum classes. Methods: Students with low-level somatic health (54 students) were grouped into the Basic Group (BG, 27 students) and the Control Group (CG, 27 students).
