- СтавкаA Critical Analysis of the PISA Mathematics Tasks(Faculty of Teachers Education University of Zagreb, 2019) Marković, Olivera; Pikula, Milenko; Zubac, MarinaIn this paper, the authors deal with a critical analysis of some of the problems associated with PISA testing in mathematics. First of all, the social, economic and political circumstances of the launch of the PISA project are pointed out. This is followed by an analysis of what the authors consider as very important concepts for understanding PISA philosophy, such as applicable knowledge and problem solving in a real-life situation. We compared two different ways of defining these concepts and showed what the consequences of learning and teaching mathematics are in each of the cases. The authors present the results of the research that was conducted with mathematics teachers, as well as teachers of other subjects. The research dealt with the determination of the importance and role of the mathematical tasks of the PISA test for students’ further mathematical education. The results of the research have shown that there is a significant statistical difference between the assessment provided by the teachers who do and those who do not teach mathematics. The paper also analysed some specific tasks that the students were solving in PISA tests. The authors point out some deficiencies and inaccuracies observed in the mathematics tasks on PISA tests, as well as the weaknesses of PISA testing itself.

- СтавкаAN EVALUATION OF SUMMER DISCOMFORT IN NIŠ (SERBIA) USING HUMIDEX(Geographical Institute “Jovan Cvijić” SASA (Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts), 2019) Lukić, Milica; Pecelj, Milica; Protić, Branko; Filipović, DejanThe bioclimatic analysis of the central area of the city of Niš conducted in this paper is based on the use of the bioclimatic index Humidex, which represents subjective outdoor temperature that one feels in warm and humid environment. The purpose of this research is to observe the index change on a daily basis during the hottest part of the year (June, July, and August) over the period from 1998 to 2017. For the purposes of this analysis, hourly (7:00, 14:00), maximum and mean daily values of meteorological parameters (air temperature and relative humidity) were used, for the period of 20 years (1998–2017), which were measured at Niš weather station (43°19'N, 21°53'E, at an altitude of 202 meters). The findings indicate a gradual change in the bioclimatic characteristics of this area during this period, especially over the last decade. After 2007 there has been a decrease in the total number of the days described as “comfortable”. However, there has been an increase in the index values in all the other heat stress categories characterized by a higher or lower degree of thermal discomfort. The years 1998, 2000, 2003, 2007, 2011, 2016, 2015, and 2017 stand out as adverse years
- СтавкаAn Extension of Maximal Covering Location Problem based on the Choquet Integral(Obuda University, Hungary, 2016) Takači, Aleksandar; Štajner-Papuga, Ivana; Drakulić, Darko; Marić, MiroslavThe aim of this paper is to demonstrate the applicability of the Choquet integral, a well-known fuzzy integral, in the Maximal Covering Location Problem (MCLP). Possible benefits of the used integral, which is based on monotone set functions, include the flexibility of а monotone set function, which is in the core of the Choquet integral, for modeling the Decision Maker's behavior. Various mathematical models of the Maximal Covering Location Problem are given. The approach, based on the Choquet integral versus the standard approach, is thoroughly discussed and illustrated by several examples.
- СтавкаAnalysis of the Universal Thermal Climate Index during heat waves in Serbia(Copernicus Publications, 2020) Pecelj, Milica M.; Lukić, Milica Z.; Filipović, Dejan J.; Protić, Branko M.; Bogdanović, Uroš M.The objective of this paper is to assess the bioclimatic conditions in Serbia during summer in order to identify biothermal heat hazard. Special emphasis is placed on the bioclimatic index UTCI (Universal Thermal Climate Index), whose purpose is to evaluate the degree of thermal stress that the human body is exposed to. For this research, mean daily and hourly (07:00 and 14:00 CET) meteorological data from three weather stations (Zlatibor, Novi Sad and Niš) have been collected for the period from 1998 to 2017. In order to identify patterns of biothermal heat stress conditions, the thresholds of the daily UTCI (UTCI 38 C, referred to as very strong heat stress, VSHS) at 14:00 CET are compared with the thresholds of daily maximum air temperature (tmax 35 C, referred to as hot days, HDs), which are further termed as heat wave events (HWEs). The findings show that the UTCI heat stress category “very strong heat stress“ at 14:00 CET indicates heat waves. The most extreme heat wave events occurred in 2007, 2012, 2015 and 2017. Moreover, three HWEs at Niš that occurred in July 2007 lasted 3, 10 and 4 d. HWEs and very strong heat stress events (VSHSEs) recorded in July 2007 (lasted 10 d each), 2012 (lasted 9 and 12 d) and 2015 (lasted 7 and 10 d) were of the longest duration and are considered to be the indicators of biothermal heat hazard. The daily UTCI14 h heat stress becomes more extreme in terms of severity and heat wave duration up to very strong heat stress.
- СтавкаASSESSMENT OF NATURAL ENVIRONMENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF RECREATIONAL TOURISM-EXAMPLE ON DRINA RIVER FLOW (SERBIA)(2019) PECELJ, Milica; VAGIC, Nemanja; RISTIC, Dusan; SUSNJAR, Sanda; BOGDANOVIC, UrosThe role of applied geography has been increasing in interdisciplinary research due to the advantage of knowing spatial processes and relations. This role has reflected in the geo-ecological evaluations of a particular geographical area used for different social purposes. This paper represents the GIS analysis of the natural environment of a part of the Drina River flow in wider terms so to apply in recreational tourism. The quantitative V-Wert diversification method has used for the study with the focus on identification of the area that might be favorable for recreation. The analysis is based on the knowledge of natural geographical elements. Criteria taken into consideration are the edges of the forest and water, the relief energy, the manner in which the landscape is used and the climate factor. According to the benefits of the said purpose, the unfavorable areas amount to 1,520 km2 (34.43%), conditionally favorable areas amount to 2,418 km2 (54.77%), favorable areas amount to 310.33 km2 (7.03%), very favorable areas amount to 163 km2 (3.69%) and the most favorable areas amount to 3.67 km2 (0.08%). The category of very favorable recreation contains a large area (167 km2) from the total amount of 4245 km2.
- СтавкаAssessment of Outdoor Thermal Comfort in Serbia’s Urban Environments during Different Seasons(MDPI, 2021) Lukić, Milica; Filipović, Dejan; Pecelj, Milica; Crnogorac, Ljiljana; Lukić, Bogdan; Divjak, Lazar; Lukić, Ana; Vučićević, AnaThe urban microclimate is gradually changing due to climate change, extreme weather conditions, urbanization, and the heat island effect. In such an altered environment, outdoor thermal comfort can have a strong impact on public health and quality of life in urban areas. In this study, three main urban areas in Serbia were selected: Belgrade (Central Serbia), Novi Sad (Northern Serbia), and Niš (Southern Serbia). The focus was on the temporal assessment of OTC, using the UTCI over a period of 20 years (1999–2018) during different seasons. The main aim is the general estimation of the OTC of Belgrade, Novi Sad, and Niš, in order to gain better insight into the bioclimatic condition, current trends and anomalies that have occurred. The analysis was conducted based on an hourly (7 h, 14 h, and 21 h CET) and “day by day” meteorological data set. Findings show the presence of a growing trend in seasonal UTCI anomalies, especially during summer and spring. In addition, there is a notable increase in the number of days above the defined UTCI thresholds for each season. Average annual UTCIs values also show a positive, rising trend, ranging from 0.50 C to 1.33 C. The most significant deviations from the average UTCI values, both seasonal and annual, were recorded in 2000, 2007, 2012, 2015, 2017, and 2018.

- СтавкаBiothermal conditions on Mt. Zlatibor based on thermophysiological indices(Institute for Biological Research, Serbia, 2017) Pecelj, Milica; Đorđević, Aleksandar; Pecelj, Milovan R.; Pecelj-Purković, Jelena; Filipović, Dejan; Šećerov, VelimirThis paper presents part of the research in the field of human bioclimatology and refers to biothermal conditions in different geographical environments in Serbia: an urban area and a mountain of medium height. The goal of the paper was to show bioclimatic differences during the summer between the city of Belgrade (116 m a.s.l.) and the mountain resort of Zlatibor (1498 m a.s.l.). The basic principle of bioclimatic analysis is the human heat balance between man and environment. This methodological approach is a combination of physiological and meteorological parameters that result in thermophysiological bioclimatic indices: heat load (HL) in man and the Universal Thermal Climate Index (UTCI). For this analysis, weather data for July, as the warmest month, was obtained, using daily meteorological data for the decade from 2000 to 2010. Results for July indicate a considerable difference between the two abovementioned environments. HL in Belgrade was dominated by degrees of comfort “hot” and “extremely hot, with the highest value of 4.540, while for Zlatibor the dominant degree of comfort was “warm”. The UTCI in Belgrade has dominated by strong heat stress and moderate heat stress, compared to Zlatibor where the UTCI is dominated by moderate heat stress. In addition, a significant part of the monitored decade on Mt. Zlatibor was without heat stress, with the exception of 2006 and 2007, indicating favorable biothermal characteristics. Therefore, compared to Belgrade, with its considerably lower overall heat stress Zlatibor has the characteristics of a site with favorable bioclimatic qualities.

- СтавкаCREATING AS DECEPTION: THE CONCEPT OF ‘CULTURE OF ERASURE’ IN MURIEL SPARK’S NOVEL THE FINISHING SCHOOL(University of East Sarajevo Faculty of Philosophy, 2021) Jović, Božica M.This paper will deal with the peculiar, Scottish view of the position of creative imagination in literature. A specific cultural background for this view will be presented, together with the reading of one of the latest novels by Muriel Spark, The Finishing School (2004). Concepts such as ‘culture of erasure,’ ‘Calvinism’ and its cultural heritage in the modern Scotland, as well as the role ‘imagination’ plays in the national spirit against the specific Scottish historical background will be investigated into. The focus of the paper will be less on Muriel Spark as an individual author, rather, the point of the paper will be how to contextualise some themes within Spark’s novel within the specificity of a national culture and history.
- СтавкаDetection of female volleyball player body composition using bioelectric impedance analysis: cross-sectional study(H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, 2022) Pavlović, Ratko; Savić, Vladan; Radulović, Nikola; Skrypchenko, IrynaPurpose: In today's sport, and especially in high-performance sports where volleyball also belongs, continuous monitoring of Body Composition (BC) can significantly regulate the training process, which has a positive effect on the top form of athletes. Aim of the current study was to assess and analyze the body composition of a female volleyball players VC "Jahorina", by Bioelectric Impedance Analysis (BIA). Material and methods: In study the participants consist 18 female volleyball players, the members of the Volleyball Club ''Jahorina'' from Pale, East Sarajevo City (Body height = 173 ± 8.77 cm; Body weight = 66.04 ± 9.09kg; BMI = 22.03 ± 2.19 kg/m², decimal age 19.11 ± 2.63 years old) who competes in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H). Results: of the study showed that the body composition is within the healthy (allowed) values recommended for this population of volleyball players (Body Fat = 24.82%; Body Fat=11.44kg; Body Water = 53.68%; Body Muscle = 47.09 kg, BMR = 1538.08; DCI = 6435.38, etc.). Conclusion: Compared to the results of other authors, that Jahorina volleyball players do not lag far behind European clubs in terms of weaker BC (BF%, BFkg, BW%, BMkg, BMR, DCI, BMI, etc.). The only place where they are inferior is the body height of the volleyball player (height = 173 ± 8.77 cm), while the relative value of Body weight = 66.04 ± 9.09 kg is evident.
- СтавкаDevelopment and comparison of the techniques for solving the inverse problem in photoacoustic characterization of semiconductors(Springer, 2021) Nesic, M.; Popovic, M.; Djordjevic, K.; Miletic, V.; Jordovic‑Pavlovic, M.; Markushev, D.; Galovic, S.In this work, theoretically/mathematically simulated (TMS) model is presented for the photoacoustic (PA) frequency response of a semiconductor in a minimum volume PA cell. By analyzing of the TMS model, the influences of thermal diffusivity and linear coefficient of thermal expansion on silicon sample PA frequency response were investigated and two methods were developed for their estimation. The first one is a self consistent inverse procedure for solving the exponential problems of mathematical physics, based on regression. The second one, a well trained three-layer perceptron with back propagation, based upon theory of artificial neural networks, is developed and presented. These two inverse problem solving concepts are applied to thermo-elastic characterization of silicon, compared and discussed in the domain of semiconductor characterization.
- СтавкаDIRECT AND INVERSE SPECTRAL ASSIGNMENT FOR THE OPERATOR STURM-LIUOVILLE TYPE WITH LINEAR DELAY(MDPI, 2017) PIKULA, MILENKO; KALČO, ISMET; DESTOVIĆ, FATIHIn this paper we constructed the solution of the spectral boundary problem on 0, with zero initial function and separated boundary conditions. In this work, characteristic function is constructed and asymptotics of its large zeroes and igenvalues asymptotics of the operator are found. In the second part of this paper, it is assumed that two sets of eigenvalues are given when 0. Under certain conditions of the linear delay, the parameters of operators are found. It means that we solved the inverse spectral problem using a Fourier's series method.
- СтавкаDISTRIBUCIJA FRAZALNIH GLAGOLA U PISANJU NA ENGLESKOM KAO STRANOM KOD SRBOFONIH GOVORNIKA(2019) Šućur, Srđan R.Ovim istraživanjem želimo da utvrdimo distribuciju frazalnih glagola u pisanju odraslih srbofonih govornika na engleskom jeziku.
- СтавкаDOUBLY BIASED WALKER-BREAKER GAMES(Comenius University in Bratislava, 2019) FORCAN, J.; MIKALAČKI, M.We study doubly biased Walker--Breaker games, played on the edge set of a complete graph on $n$ vertices, $K_n$. Walker--Breaker game is a variant of Maker--Breaker game, where Walker, playing the role of Maker, must choose her edges according to a walk, while Breaker has no restrictions on choosing his edges. Here we show that for $b\leq \frac{n}{10\ln{n}}$, playing a $(2:b)$ game on $E(K_n)$, Walker can create a graph containing a spanning tree. Also, we determine a constant $c > 0$ such that Walker has a strategy to make a Hamilton cycle of $K_n$ in the $(2 : \frac{cn}{\ln{n}})$ game.
- СтавкаEast Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) twenty years later –changes in land use(University of Novi Sad, 2016) Drašković, Branislav; Drešković, Nusret; Mirić, RankoThe city of East Sarajevo is a newborn city, formed twenty years ago, after the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the area of the former southern and eastern Sarajevo municipalities. Changes that occurred in this area were not only administrative-political.Thepopulation moved from one area to another place, and changed in number and structure, which has resulted in significant changes in land use and land cover types. The aim of the paper is to analyze the types of land cover in the area of East Sarajevo using methods based on remote sensing, in order to find out the degree of these spatial changes in the period from 2000-2012, and also to define spatial development trends. Within the European project of remote research of land cover types and forms of land use, namedCORINE Land Cover (CLC),spacious facilities were identified from middle and large scale spatial resolution, with 5 first-level classes, 15 subclasses, and 44 subclasses of the third level of cover. Analyzing the area of East Sarajevo there are identified 3 of the first-class level, 10 second-class, and 16 third-class level types. Geodataare related to three observation periods: 2000, 2006, and 2012, comparing the situation at the beginning of the period with the situation after 12 years.
- СтавкаEnvironmental Suitability of the City of East Sarajevo for the Location of Municipal Solid Waste Disposal Site Using a GIS Based Multi-Criteria Analysis(2022) Šušnjar, Sanda; Golijanin, Jelena; Pecelj, Milica; Lukić Tanović, Mariana; Valjarević, AleksandarWorld production growth affected a rise in the amount of waste generated. In these circumstances proper waste management becomes a highly important issue. The protection of the environment from degradation requires a multi-dimensional approach to this problem. Integration of multicriteria decision making with the geographic information systems provides a useful methodology and a helpful instrument in waste management, particularly in the assessment of environmental suitability for the location of municipal solid waste disposal sites. Multidimensional approach is realized through analytic hierarchy process (AHP) in the determination of sub-criteria and criteria values and final site selection. Geographic information systems (GIS) provide spatial data input and give an insight into final result of the decision-making process. Integrated methodology is applied in suitability analysis of the City of East Sarajevo for the location of municipal solid waste disposal site (MSWDS). Ten criteria were evaluated through pair-wise comparison matrices and suitability map was obtained using weighted linear combination algorithm in GIS. Extracting high suitability area, the largest locations were evaluated through AHP according to ten criteria and final site selection was made. The results indicate high applicability of integrated multi-criteria analysis and GIS methodologies for coordination of decision-making process in spatially oriented issues of environmental management
