Association rules, one of the most noticeable data mining techniques, is used as methodology to learn rules and market patterns that occur in sales in the textile industry, which will enhance the decision-making process, by making it more effective and efficient. The Apriori algorithm was applied and open source software Orange was used. It has been shown using a real-life dataset containing 2000 transactions from the textile industry of the South East Europe region that the approach proposed is useful in discovering effective knowledge in data associated with sales. The study reports new interesting rules and the dependence of the following parameters: support, confidence, lift and leverage on making more customized offers in the textile industry.
- СтавкаConcerns and mental health of teachers from digitally underdeveloped countries regarding the reopening of schools after the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic(IOS Press, 2022) Milić, Sanja; Marić, NadaBACKGROUND: Torn between the decision to return to school classrooms or continue holding online classes during COVID-19, teachers around the world feel great uncertainty. OBJECTIVE: Bearing in mind that the study of mental health during the pandemic is of great importance for vulnerable categories, and given the role of teachers in society, the aim of this research is to assess teachers’ concerns and anxiety before the start of the school year, and also to examine the factors related to them and propose measures in line with the results. METHODS: The study was conducted as a cross-sectional study before the start of the 2020/2021 school year. The research sample consisted of 286 teachers. For the purposes of this research, a special questionnaire was constructed consisting of a general questionnaire and a Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item scale (GAD-7). RESULTS: The strongest predictor of a teacher’s answer that they were concerned about the reopening of schools was their concern for their own life and health and for the life and health of their family members, followed by the amount of information received about COVID-19, and, finally, older age. Only 2% of teachers had mild anxiety. CONCLUSIONS: This research indicated that it is necessary to examine in more detail the degree of teachers’ concern and its impact on their functionality and work process. It is also necessary to repeat the research on the mental health status of teachers and implement procedures in the form of a regular screening program of the mental health status of teachers or implement procedures of support in concern management
- СтавкаDEMOGRAPHIC TRENDS AND THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM OF THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA(Sciendo, 2020) Pašalić, Stevo; Mastilo, Zoran; Đurić, Aleksandar; Marković, DuškoThe subject of this research are the demographic trends and the educational system of the Republic of Srpska. The aim of the research is to define the concepts required to comprehend the demographic trends and to explore their implications for the educational system of the Republic of Srpska. In order to establish sustainable development in the Republic of Srpska, education being a key component therein, it is necessary to perceive its demographic resources in order to create an educational system. By means of empirical research with a presentation of results through factor and cluster analysis, generated quantitative and qualitative indices of demographic resources, particularly in the educational system. The Republic of Srpska as a whole belongs to type D, featuring poor demographic resources and characteristics, as well as prominent demographic disparities regarding spatial development. However, in order to increase the coverage, relevance and efficiency of completion of the education process, it is necessary to determine the strategic commitments to be accomplished together with certain quantitative demographic indicators of the achievement level (educational coverage of different generations). Demographic changes will pose a major challenge for policy makers and to the society in general across the upcoming decades and will require shaping new economic, tax, health, pension, educational, social, family and other policies that affect demographic changes. The research endeavour in this paper focuses on that very aspect, together with the respective applicative capabilities.
- СтавкаEducational Computer Software in the Function of Integrating and Individualization in Teaching of Mathematics and Knowledge of Nature(MODESTUM, 2018) Ćurčić, Milenko; Milinković, Dragica; Radivojević, DraganaThe paper examines the empirically verified effect (parallel group experiment) of the application of the software form of integration and individualization of teaching of natural and mathematical knowledge in relation to traditional teaching, for example, the teaching sub-themes Cultivated habitats and life communities, and Equations with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in the set N (the natural numbers) and N0 (the natural numbers plus the neutral element 0). The sample consisted of 250 pupils aged 10 to 11 years: 125 in the experimental group and 125 in the control group. The data were processed by statistical procedures and displayed in textual and graphical ways. The statistical analysis of the data obtained from the research has been achieved by the SPSS 17.0 software package, wherein the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, a t-test. Statistical indicators have confirmed the assumptions that the software form of integration and individualization contributes to more efficient and easier acquiring of knowledge, raising the quality and quantity of students’ knowledge and increasing the interest in studying content in the teaching of Knowledge of Nature and Mathematics, and as such points to a preferred model of teaching and learning.
- СтавкаHigh Ki67 as negative predictor for response to concurrent radiotherapy plus Capecitabine in chemo-resistant advanced breast cancer(2021) Trokic, Danijela; Marosevic, Goran; Simeunovic, Vlado; Lekic, Stanislava; Babic, Bozana; Gojkovic, ZdenkaPurpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate Ki67 as a biomarker for response to concurrent chemo-radiotherapy in previously treated patients with standard chemotherapy protocols in the neoadjuvant setting (NACT). Methods: Evaluated were 33 patients treated concurrently with radiotherapy and capecitabine. All patients had residual disease after anthracycline-docetaxel based NACT, verified with imaging techniques and clinical exams. Response rate (RR) was evaluated 3 months after completion of the concurrent treatment, and was correlated to tumor immunehistochemical characteristics. Binary logical regression was used for model testing and correlation of Ki67 and RR. An Omnibus test showed the model to be statistically significant and that a set of depending variables can be used as predictors for treatment response with p=0.021. Model -2 log likelihood with Nagelkerke R Square were used to define significance of other tumor characteristics besides Ki67. Results: Only Ki67 showed statistically significant correlation with RR, as high Ki67 predicts that there will be no response to concurrent capecitabine - radiotherapy treatment in chemo-resistant advanced breast cancer. Other characteristics such as histological grade, estrogen or progesterone receptors, HER2 overexpression or lymphovascular or perineural invasion showed no significance. Conclusion: High value of Ki67 is a negative predictor for response in concurrent capecitabine-radiotherapy treatment in chemo-resistant advanced breast cancer.
- СтавкаHigher Education in the Eyes of Economic Operators(MDPI, 2022) Simeunović, Vlado; Milić, Sanja; Pajrok, AndorThis research is a reflection on new challenges in the economy called Industry 4.0, which has brought about revolutionary changes in many areas of life, including education. To fully use the potential of smart products, services and business opportunities that are expected to be widely used in all sectors in the near future, education systems need to be revised to produce the skilled labour force required by this dynamic process. The ability of companies and institutions with a strong IT and technology infrastructure to reflect advanced digital technologies in innovation and production processes requires specific skills, described as 21st-century skills. Education 4.0 should be a response to these challenges with changed learning and teaching paradigms. In this context, we have organised an extensive survey on the relationship between the economy and higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We have created a web questionnaire that contains desirable characteristics of new employees and a set of questions, the analysis of which was used to determine an actual connection between the economy and higher education. After the factor analysis of the questionnaire, we obtained four desirable characteristics of new employees and the assessment of employers on their representation in each individual. We also concluded that the current impact of the economy on the processes of adopting new curricula is very low. We got the impression that higher education and economic development run in parallel, often without any points of contact.
- СтавкаInstitutional Pedagogical Intervention in Early Years of Life on the Path of Lifelong Learning(Teacher Training Faculty; University of Zagreb, 2020) Cvijanović, Nataša; Mojić, DanicaThe research presented in this paper focuses on establishing the relationship between institutional pedagogical interventions in early years of life, such as the programme before going to school, and early learning of children. This relationship is observed through established outcomes that define developmental changes of a child in all aspects of his development: physical, emotional and cognitive, and development of speech, communication and creativity. The task of the research was to determine the correlation between attending the preschool curriculum and the growth of certain developmental aspects in children as an indicator of early learning, while observing preschool education and education as a fundamental process for developing lifelong learning competence. Evaluation of the aspects of child development is carried out with the use of the Scale for determining developmental aspects of children, with the teachers who performed the evaluation of children starting the first grade also recording the data on attending preschool institutions. 1,439 children were monitored in 18 schools, which represents about 14% of the total population of children who attend the first grade in the Republic of Srpska, one of the entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The results of checking the relationship between involving children into the curriculum before going to school and the developmental aspects of children show that children who were involved in the curriculum have more expressed aspects of development, which also reflects onto more developed abilities for lifelong learning.

Marketing as an important activity of the company in selling products or services is also changing and expanding its activities in line with international market. This leads to the creation of an international marketing concept and system as a specific approach to the processing of international economic relations. An important segment of implementation of the marketing concept is the marketing communication, which in terms of the limited number of international barriers. It is certainly possible to overcome with a well-defined marketing strategy. Clearly defined marketing strategy and well-prepared marketing mix remove barriers, to meet the set goals and lead to positive results for the company
- СтавкаMathematical Modelling of Natural and Social Context at Preschool Level of Education(Faculty of teacher education, Zagreb, Croatia, 2018) Milinković, Dragica; Ćurčić, MilenkoThis work indicates the importance of mathematical modelling, which results in the adoption of mathematical concepts through development of problem-solving abilities and logical-mathematical thinking. Teaching methodology literature perceives mathematical modelling as a frame for learning mathematics within which other sciences and scopes of life are studied through mathematical contents. For preschool children, it is the world they live in, where each new situation represents a real natural problem. Mathematical modelling is another social experience and novelty in their lives. At an early age, modelling is a revealing activity that entails mathematisation of a real situation and creation of a model. This enables children to focus their attention on different types of presentation of the variable relations. This paper presents the research of preschool teachers’ attitudes about values of mathematical modelling, its appropriateness for early childhood, and possible application in preschool mathematics learning. By using the questionnaire on the sample of 197 subjects, the obtained results confirm preschool teachers’ positive attitude towards modelling, but also the insufficient knowledge about theoretical and practical trends related to this topic.
- СтавкаQUALITY OF SERVICES IN FITNESS CENTRES: IMPORTANCE OF PHYSICAL SUPPORT AND ASSISTING STAFF(North-West University, South Africa, 2017) MAKSIMOVIĆ, Nebojša; Matić, Radenko; TOVILOVIĆ, Snežana; POPOVIĆ, Stevo; MAKSIMOVIĆ, Branka; OPSENICA, SanjaThe aim of the study was to determine the differences between expected and perceived service quality, as well as the relationship between dimensions of service quality, customer satisfaction and purchase intentions of users in fitness centres. For this purpose, 323 users of fitness centres in private ownership in Serbia were surveyed. Results of the analysis of the SERVQUAL questionnaire showed that the biggest gap between expected and received quality service exists in the context of the factor of ‘Cleanliness’, while the smallest gap exists within the factor of ‘Equipment’ and conditions for exercise and factor of ‘Staff’. Furthermore, the structural analysis indicates that customer satisfaction is largely determined by the ‘Cleanliness’ and characteristics of the ‘Staff’, and that the satisfaction has a high predictive impact on future purchase intentions (β=0.63). In conclusion, it can be determined that the managers of fitness centres in Serbia must give priority importance to recruiting and training of the employees, with effective attention paid to the cleanliness of facilities
- СтавкаQuasi-Normal Relations - a New Class of Relations(Kyungpook National University, South Korea, 2015) Romano, Daniel A.In this paper, concepts of quasi-normal and dually quasi-normal relations are introduced. Characterizations of these relations are obtained. In addition, particulary we show that the anti-order relation (=6C) is a (dually) quasi-normal relation if and only if the partially ordered set (X;6) is an anti-chain.
- СтавкаQUASI-REGULAR RELATIONS – A NEW CLASS OF RELATIONS ON SETS(Mathematical Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, 2013) Romano, Daniel A.Following Jiang Guanghao and Xu Luoshan’s concept of conjugative, dually conjugative, normal and dually normal relations on sets, the concept of quasi-regular relations is introduced. Characterizations of quasi-regular relations are obtained and it is shown when an anti-order relation is quasiregular. Some nontrivial examples of quasi- regular relations are given. At the end we introduce dually quasi-regular relations and give a connection between these two types of relations.
- СтавкаRHETORIC AND POLITICS - THE POWER OF WORDS IN SHAKESPEARE’S JULIUS CAESAR2(University of Banja Luka, Faculty of Philology , Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2023) Dumitrašković, Tatjana A.Shakespeare’s play Julius Caesar emphasises the connection between rhetoric and politics. Some scholars, like Gayle Greene and Kim Ballard, point out that rhetoric in Julius Caesar is extremely important for the central political problems and character analysis. They also argue that Shakespeare implicitly criticises and condemns rhetoric that hides moral and political truth. Language is the most influential tool for seizing power in the play. Shakespeare well understands that power comes from those politicians who know how to manipulate the passions of the common people. Shakespeare’s soldiers are at the same time skilful politicians who, by manipulating particular words and gestures, try to attain their own ambitious goals. Funeral speeches offer Brutus and Antony a chance to convince people of the value of their own ideology through the power of spoken words. Describing Caesar’s murder as the result of the conspirators’ efforts to maintain order in Rome, Brutus uses prose and parallelisms to create a sense of balance. Using blank verse, apostrophe, repetition and irony, Antony affects the feelings of the Roman people and causes them to revolt. Shakespeare emphasises that mastering rhetoric results in strong political power and control
- СтавкаSemigroups with apartness(Wiley, 2013) Crvenković, Siniša; Mitrović, Melanija; Romano, Daniel AbrahamProving a constructive version of the Spectral Mapping Theorem, Bridges and Havea used a constructive semigroup with inequality in [8]. This motivated us to achieve a little progress in that direction. The starting point is the structure (S,=, =, · ) called a semigroup with apartness. Our primary objective is to prove isomorphism theorems for such constructive semigroups. In doing so our main ideas and notions come from [10].
- СтавкаSTUDY OF RADIOACTIVITY IN ENVIRONMENT AROUND POWER PLANTS TENT A AND KOLUBARA DUE TO COAL BURNING FOR 2015(2016) Janković, Marija M.; Rajačić, Milica M.; Todorović, Dragana J.; Sarap, Nataša B.; Nikolić, Jelena D.; Pantelić, Gordana K.; Krstić, Milanka M.The results referring to radioactivity analysis in soil, water, plant, coal, slag and flying ash samples from the environment around two power plants “Nikola Tesla A” and “Kolubara” for 2015 are explained. The analysis of samples was performed by gamma spectrometry using HPGe detector. In the investigated soil, flying ash, slag and coal samples, naturally occurring radionuclides 226Ra, 232Th, 40K, 235U, 238U, as well as the man-made radionuclide 137Cs, were detected. The highest values of natural radionuclides were obtained in flying ash samples, which is known for the effect of concentrating the combustion of coal. In plant samples, beside these radionuclides, 210Pb and 7Be were also detected. In water samples, 226Ra and 40K were detected, while the concentrations of 232Th, 235U, 238U and 137Cs were below the minimum detectable concentration. In water (river, drinking, drain and overflow) samples, beside the gamma spectrometry analysis, gross alpha and gross beta activity was also determined. The obtained values for gross alpha and beta activity in these water samples are in accordance with the current legislation in Serbia (Official Gazette 86/11), which refers only to drinking water. The results presented in this paper showed that there was no significant difference in the activity of radionuclides in all investigated samples compared to the values obtained in previous years.
